What the game trains
The game strengthens Kana recognition and Romaji recall. It deliberately does not test vocabulary meaning or Kanji knowledge. Use it after learning a Kana row, then return to structured practice for sentences and punctuation.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the Romaji hint hidden on Hard?
Hard mode tests direct recall from Kana. Easy and Medium show the expected reading so newer learners can reinforce the mapping.
Does the score prove Japanese proficiency?
No. It reflects performance in this short Kana-reading game only. Japanese proficiency also includes grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and contextual Kanji use.
