How Japanese address order changes
A domestic Japanese address generally moves from the largest area to the smallest: postal code, prefecture, municipality, local area and block, then building and recipient. International English formatting reverses that direction so smaller details appear before the city and prefecture.

Formatting is not transliteration
The tool intentionally does not guess a Kanji reading. Japanese place names can have readings that are impossible to infer reliably from characters alone. For overseas mail, obtain the accepted Latin-alphabet version from the recipient and confirm the complete address before sending.
Before mailing
Japan Post advises using the English alphabet and Arabic numbers as a general rule for international addressing. Postal services and forms can impose additional rules, so use this output as a formatting aid rather than delivery validation.
