Why one reading can have several Kanji
Japanese contains many homophones. The reading あめ, for example, can mean rain (雨) or candy (飴). Romaji records pronunciation but not the intended meaning, so a correct conversion needs context.
How to use the candidates
Enter one common word in Romaji and compare the reading, Kanji, and meaning. Copy a candidate only when its meaning matches your sentence. If no curated result appears, copy the Hiragana preview into a full Japanese IME or dictionary.
A candidate finder, not a full IME
This static tool deliberately uses a compact curated vocabulary and does not send your text to an online language service. It is fast and private, but it cannot rank every Japanese word, proper name, inflection, or phrase.
